Woodio International Trade

Woodio International Trade supplies contractors and businesses across the UK, from industrial chemicals and timber to packaged food, with a construction-services arm beside the wholesale. The site had to turn that breadth into pages a purchasing manager can navigate and end every path at a quote request. The invoicing behind it runs itself now too.

The Woodio International Trade home page: the wordmark, a request-a-quote button in the header, and a service promise over a London river view.

Breadth is the problem.

A buyer looking for facade materials has no interest in cleaning chemicals, and a restaurant ordering produce has no interest in either. When one company supplies all three, a site that lists everything at once reads as a warehouse rather than a partner, and the buyer bounces to a specialist.

B2B buyers also move differently from consumers. They shortlist several suppliers in one sitting, they want evidence a company will still exist next quarter, and they will not fill in a long form. The one action that matters is a quote request that reaches a person.

What we built.

  1. 01

    Sorted the catalogue into trades

Five wholesale areas, the construction arm and the car-dealer service each got their own page, so a buyer lands on their trade rather than the whole warehouse.

  2. 02

    Made the quote the spine

A request-a-quote action follows the reader through every page. The form asks for the product area, the rough volume and a contact. The rest belongs on the call-back.

  3. 03

    Wrote for purchasing managers

Plain pages per area, delivery and sourcing stated up front, and a named contact instead of a faceless inbox. Proof stays within what the company can evidence.

  4. 04

    Kept construction distinct

Facades, refurbishment and MEP work sit apart from the wholesale catalogue, so contractors and buyers each read a page in their own language.

  5. 05

Took the paperwork off the desk

Raising an invoice and approving one now run through an automated flow rather than being retyped between systems. The admin that used to sit between an agreed price and a sent invoice happens on its own.

Measured in quotes.

The figures below come from Woodio's own records and the site's analytics. They are rounded, because monthly numbers move.

2 → 10

quote requests a month

Roughly two a month before the new site, roughly ten after.

100+

A small audience by consumer standards, and the right one: wholesale buyers looking for a supplier.

product and service areas

From industrial chemicals to facade installation and the car-dealer service, each with its own path to a quote.

The Woodio services page: separate entries for each trade area, each leading to its own page rather than a combined catalogue.
One warehouse, six doors, and every buyer walks in through their own.
The Woodio about page: the company introduction, with the request-a-quote action kept in the header.
The evidence page: who the company is, what it moves, and why it will still exist next quarter.
The Woodio home page on a phone: the service promise, the contact action and the warehouse photography in one column.
The car dealer page: a curated used-car service described on its own page, with a contact form beside it.
The car trade gets its own door, kept apart from the warehouse.
The team page: three named people with their roles, each with a photograph.
A named contact instead of a faceless inbox.
The contact page: a short form beside the email address, the Watford office address and opening hours.
The form asks for the essentials. The rest belongs on the call-back.
