Google Ads for trades, measured in booked jobs.

We run Search campaigns on the terms people type when something breaks, fenced to the postcodes you cover. Call tracking and form events tie each enquiry to the keyword behind it, and each month we cut what spent without booking.

Where trade ad budgets go.

  • Clicks from outside your patch

An account that shows ads across a whole county pays for calls from places two vans cannot reach.

  • Ads that land on the home page

Someone searching for an emergency plumber lands on a slider and an about-us paragraph, and goes back to the results. The ad needs a page for the job.

  • Nobody knows which call the ads sent

Without call tracking and form events, the spend looks like a cost with nothing against it, and the account gets switched off.

  • Keywords cast too wide

Searches for plumbing courses or DIY boiler repairs spend your budget on people who will not hire anyone. Negative keywords keep them out.

How we run trade campaigns.

Small budgets, fenced tight, and measured against booked jobs.

  • Search campaigns on the terms people type when they need the job done, grouped by service
  • Call-focused campaigns for emergencies, when ringing beats filling in a form
  • Location targeting fenced to the postcodes you cover
  • A landing page for each job the ads pay for, with price bands where you can give them
  • Call tracking and form events in place before the first campaign goes live, with consent handled first
  • Negative keyword lists that keep out DIY, job-hunting and training searches
  • A monthly report you can read in five minutes, and a straight recommendation to stop if it is not paying back

What we track.

An enquiry counts when we can trace it. These are the numbers on your monthly report.

  • Calls from the ads

Calls placed from the ad itself and from the landing page, with the keyword that triggered each one.

  • Quote forms

Each form sent, with the campaign and the search term behind it.

  • Cost per enquiry

The cost of each enquiry, by service, so you can see which jobs the ads pay for.

  • Booked jobs

The enquiries you tell us turned into work. That figure decides where next month's budget goes.

Your ad budget is separate from our management fee, and the report shows both.

The same budget, three times the jobs.

Redfern Plumbing & Heating kept its Google Ads budget flat and moved it to the keywords that end in a booking. Each month the spend answers to a table of enquiries, costs and booked jobs.

What it costs.

Management bills monthly and cancels with 30 days' notice. No lock-in, no exit fee.

Trades ask first.

How much should I spend on clicks?

Enough to learn from in your area, and no more until the numbers justify it. Redfern spends £900 a month and has held that figure since month one. The right number for you depends on your trade, your patch and the jobs you want.

What about Local Services Ads, the listings with the Google Guaranteed badge?

If Google offers them for your trade, they are worth testing beside Search ads: you pay per lead rather than per click, and Google checks the business before the badge appears. We can look at whether they suit you on the call.

Do I need a new website before running ads?

You need a page that converts. Sometimes that is a landing page for the job rather than a whole new site, and a landing page starts at £450.

Can I stop if it is not working?

Yes. Management cancels with 30 days' notice, and if the numbers say stop, you hear it from us first.

Do you run Facebook and Instagram ads too?

Yes, for jobs people plan rather than search for in a hurry, such as a new bathroom or a loft conversion. Meta Ads setup starts at £350.

Make the budget pay its way.

A twenty-minute call about your area, your jobs and what you spend now. You get a fixed quote for the setup, and a straight answer on whether ads will pay back for you.
