Valten Studio

Web design for plumbers that brings in booked jobs.

A site built for the moment a boiler fails or a pipe bursts: your number on the first screen, a quote form that takes photos, and the proof a homeowner checks before they let you into the house.

Websites from

£800

Why the call goes to the next plumber.

  • The number is hard to find

Someone with water coming through the ceiling will not scroll for your phone number. If it is not on the first screen, they ring the next result.

  • The form asks eleven questions

A long form with no word about price loses the boiler replacement to a firm that states a price band. Redfern's old form asked eleven questions; the new one asks for the basics and a photo.

  • Nothing shows you are registered

A homeowner letting a stranger work on their gas supply wants a Gas Safe number they can check. Tucked away in a footer, it reassures nobody.

  • Emergencies and installs share a page

A burst pipe at ten at night and a new boiler next month are different searches, made by people in different moods. One page for both answers neither of them.

What a plumbing site needs.

Each part of the page helps a worried homeowner decide you are the one to ring.

  • Click-to-call on every screen, for the jobs that cannot wait for an email
  • A short quote form with an optional photo of the boiler or the leak
  • Separate pages for emergency repairs and boiler installs, each written for the person searching
  • Price bands for the jobs you can price, such as a boiler replacement, stated before the form
  • Your Gas Safe number beside the form, linked to the register so people can check it
  • The towns and postcodes you cover, written out
  • Reviews next to the button you want pressed, linked to where they were left

Registrations to put on the page.

Homeowners look for these before they ring. Show the ones you hold, and link each one to where a customer can check it.

  • Gas Safe Register

The law requires it for anyone working on gas appliances in Great Britain, and customers can check your registration on the register's own site.

  • WaterSafe

The national register of approved plumbers for drinking water installations. Worth showing if you hold approved status.

  • CIPHE

The Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering, the professional body for the trade, with a code its members sign up to.

  • OFTEC

The registration scheme for oil heating technicians. Show it if you install or service oil boilers.

  • Insurance and guarantees

Your public liability cover and any workmanship guarantee, in plain words beside the quote form.

A badge you are not entitled to does more harm than no badge at all.

A heating firm in Manchester.

Redfern Plumbing & Heating runs two vans. We rebuilt the quote path first, gave boiler replacements and emergency repairs a page each, and then put Google Ads behind them.

Plumbers ask first.

Do I need a website if I am already on Checkatrade?

Keep the listing if it brings in work. Checkatrade shows you beside the other plumbers in your area. Your own site is where people land from your van, your Google profile and your ads, with nobody else's number next to yours.

Can the site handle emergency calls out of hours?

The site can put your number first and say when you answer. If you want calls picked up while you are on a job, our AI phone receptionist takes the details and sends them to you.

Should I put prices on the site?

For jobs with a predictable price, yes. A price band for a boiler replacement filters out people who were never going to book, and Redfern's quote form states its bands before it asks a question. Repairs you cannot price without a visit stay as a quote.

Who owns the website?

You do. The domain, the content and the code are yours from day one, and nothing about the build ties you to us.

Can you run Google Ads for us as well?

Yes. Setup starts at £350, and management at £280 a month. We build the pages first, because ads that point at a page that does not convert waste the budget.

Will this get me to the top of Google?

Nobody can promise that. We lay the foundations: a fast site, a page for each job, the areas you cover and your Google profile. Plenty of your competitors have not.

Let's keep the vans busy.

A twenty-minute call about the jobs you want more of and where enquiries come from now. You get a fixed quote, and a straight answer if a new site is not the right spend.
