Web design for pubs and bars, built for the phone at night.

People open a bar's website late, on a phone, deciding between two places. Yours has to show what you pour, what it costs, what is on tonight and whether there is a table, before they have finished their drink.

Why the night goes to the place next door.

  • The drinks list is a download

A PDF on a phone in a dark room is unreadable, and it still lists last winter's specials.

  • What's on lives on Instagram

Quiz night, the band on Friday and the match on Saturday are buried in a feed. Someone searching for tonight cannot find them.

  • The kitchen hours are a guess

The bar is open until eleven and the kitchen stops at nine. If the site shows one set of hours, people arrive hungry at half nine.

  • Private hire goes to a general inbox

A birthday for thirty is worth more than a quiet Tuesday. An enquiry that sits in the same inbox as the supplier emails gets answered late.

What a pub or bar site needs.

Each part of the page answers a question someone asks on their way out of the door.

  • The drinks list as a real page, legible at arm's length in low light, with prices
  • A what's-on list you update in a minute: quiz nights, live music and the matches you show
  • Bar hours and kitchen hours set out apart
  • Table booking in one tap, or a request that reaches your phone
  • A private hire form that asks the date and numbers, and goes to the person who handles it
  • Allergen information beside the food menu
  • A look that matches the room, dark if the room is dark

What people check before they come.

Most of these change week to week. The site has to let you change them just as fast.

  • What's on

Dated lines for quiz nights, bands and screenings, so last month's gig never sits at the top of the page.

  • The matches you show

Which fixtures, on which screens, and whether booking is worth it. Sports fans plan their evening around this line.

  • Beer garden, dogs and step-free access

The small facts that decide a Sunday afternoon, stated once and kept true.

  • Bookings

DesignMyNight, ResDiary or SevenRooms if you use one; a simple request form if you do not.

We connect the booking system you have. You do not need a new one to use the site.

A cocktail bar in Leeds.

The Lark Room's site is set for 22:40, the hour it gets read: a dark ground, the drinks list first with specs and prices, and the Sunday aperitivo as one dated line the bar changes in a minute.

dated line for Sunday

The aperitivo changes in a minute when the offer does.

What it costs.

Starting prices for a pub or bar in the United Kingdom, before VAT. A short call turns one of them into a fixed quote.

  • Starter website

    from£800

Up to 5 pages. The essentials, built to bring in enquiries.

  • Business website

    from£1,300

5–10 pages with a CMS you edit yourself. Our most common build.

  • Care plan, Basic

    £40/mo

Hosting, daily backups, updates and monitoring. The site stays up.

  • Care plan, Plus

Care Plus covers small changes each month, such as the week's events or a new drinks list. Booking systems bill you for their own fees.

Pubs and bars ask first.

Can we change the drinks list and events ourselves?

Yes. The list and the what's-on lines edit from one screen, and The Lark Room changes its Sunday line in a minute.

Do we need online booking?

If you take tables for food or groups, yes. A drinks-only bar that seats whoever walks in can skip it and put the effort into the what's-on list.

How should we show the football?

As dated lines with the fixture and the kick-off time, updated each week, and a note on whether to book. A poster on Instagram does not answer the search.

Can private hire enquiries go to someone other than the bar?

Yes. The form sends to whichever address you choose, with the date and numbers in the subject line.

Who owns the website?

You do. The domain, the content and the code are yours from day one, and nothing about the build ties you to us.

Let's fill the room on a Tuesday.

A twenty-minute call about your room, your list and how people book now. You get a fixed quote, and a straight answer on whether a new site is the right spend.
